This woodland had decades of debris bulldozed to the edges by the previous owner. We sorted, piled, then removed it to facilitate safer, more thorough fire behavior.

The years of chainsaw work, herbicide application & prescribed fire have paid off. Today, the oak savanna is a functional ecosystem where many at-risk species live.
